Union card check, as presented in the dubiously named “Employee Free Choice Act”, is pretty scary stuff for both workers and entrepreneurs alike. The legislation would primarily do two things:

The State of California is suing “Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., Toyota Motor Corp., Chrysler Motors Corp., Honda Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co.” (Slashdot), “charging that greenhouse gases from their vehicles have caused billions of dollars in damages” according to a recently released news story (Reuters).
