Opt Out of Pre Approved Credit Offers
Posted on October 3rd, 2007 by Dennis Little
If you are like me, you might be annoyed by all of the pre-approved credit offers you receive in the mail. In my case, the offers are generally not anything I am interested in and it really annoys me that so much paper and energy is wasted in the process.
You may not know that you receive these offers because the three major credit bureaus actually SELL your information to creditors who in turn send out the offers. Fortunately, you have the right to ask them to stop.
To stop preapproved credit offers and cut down on your junk mail, visit this FTC web site for full information: http://www.ftc.gov/privacy/protect.shtm
