keycruncher.com gets a makeover for 2007
According to the most excellent resource that is Archive.org, keycruncher.com has had the same design since April 8, 2003. Coming into the new year, I am excited to move to not only a new look for the site, but also a much more advanced and robust content management system (CMS), called WordPress.
WordPress is a free / open source software (F/OSS) package which will allow me much greater flexibility in the site, allow you as visitors better access to search and find the material you are looking for as well as a much nicer navigation experience overall. Additionally, WordPress will allow me to integrate content from contributing authors which I have been wanting to do for quite some time now. pMachine has served me very well over the past 4 years, but the software has become outdated, lacks a lot of the great features of this package and does not license itself under a GPL-like license.
My goal for this site in 2007 is to bring even more interaction and involvement from the 500-odd visitors I get daily and allow more open access to both the content and the delivery mechanisms. Please contribute your feedback via the comments system, continue to support the photo galleries and contact me if you are interested in contributing on a regular basis as an author. I look forward to hearing from you!
